The 3M PE Foam Tape, known as 4026, is a versatile double-coated, open-cell urethane foam tape that offers high shear strength, making it ideal for applications such as mounting interior signage, nameplates, soap dispensers, and air fresheners. It features a firm, acrylic, pressure-sensitive adhesive system with high ultimate bond strength, very good high-temperature and solvent resistance, and very high shear holding power. The tape can perform satisfactorily when exposed to different chemicals or temperatures, and it offers excellent bond to metal and high-surface-energy plastics, as well as good temperature and chemical resistance.

It features a conformable foam and adhesive combination that provides long-term holding at temperatures up to 220°F (104°C), and a robust, green plaid, densified kraft paper liner that helps reduce edge roll and protects the tape from humidity extremes.

The natural-colored urethane foam tape products may vary in color from white to light yellow, and this color change upon exposure to sunlight (ultraviolet radiation) is normal and does not affect tape performance.
